Meet John Andretti
Racing’s John Andretti will take the stage on Saturday, March 10, at 11 a.m. Afterwards, fans will be able to meet Andretti at the Window World booth from noon to 4 p.m. While there, check out Andretti's No. 43 Window World Indy Car, which was unveiled last year. The Window World Chopper, which was handcrafted on the TV show American Chopper, also will be on display throughout the show at the Window World booth. read more

Green Walkabout
Back by popular demand, TBA’s Green Building Council will again host a “Walkabout” sponsored by Dominion Virginia Power. Upon entry, visitors get a “passport” to be stamped by the “green” exhibitors. When it’s complete, guests are eligible to win great prizes. read more

Easy-Peasey containers with Kathy Van Mullekom
You don’t have to have acres of land to make a statement. Kathy Van Mullekom, a master gardener in York County and gardening columnist for the Thursday Daily Press newspaper, will teach show visitors the ins and outs of container gardening at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, March 9 and Sunday, March 11. A few lucky visitors will even get to take home some container gardens of their own.

Weird and wonderful wildlife in your backyard
Join former Virginian-Pilot reporter and columnist Mary Reid Barrow as she shares stories and anecdotes about wildlife encounters at 12:30 p.m. Saturday. Bring your wildlife encounters and join the conversation!

Children’s area buzzing with activities, puppet shows and more!

Kids of all ages will enjoy the Bud’s Heating and Air Conditioning Children’s Area, featuring children’s activities and professional puppet shows from Spectrum Puppets. Shows include “Let’s Get Buggy,” which shines a light on the benefits of bugs at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 10 and at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 11, and “Animal Crackers,” which features the animal antics of flamingos, bear cubs on unicycles, a skateboarding tiger, a mischievous penguin, dancing ants and an overzealous anteater at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 10 and 2 p.m. Sunday, March 11. read more

The Tidewater Beekeepers Association and the Norfolk Beekeepers will also provide children’s entertainment and activities throughout the show, including “The Buzz on Bees” on Friday, March 9 at 4:30 p.m.; Saturday, March 10 at 11:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.; and Sunday, March 11 at 2:30 p.m.

Kids won’t want to miss Bud’s Heating and Air Conditioning’s "Planet kid power: Kids have the power to save the planet" at 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 10, and 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Sunday, March 11.

Kid2Kid Duct tape couture and arts & crafts with St. Mary's Home

Staff from St. Mary's Home for Disabled Children and kids with Kid2Kid will also host arts and crafts activities at 10 a.m., from noon to 2:30 p.m. and from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Saturday, March 10; and will host face painting at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Sunday, March 11. Kid2Kid is a program started by kids for the kids at St. Mary’s Home for Disabled Children. Through Kid2Kid, children in Hampton Roads participate in activities with other children in the community raising awareness and contributions that benefit St. Mary’s children.  The real difference can be seen from one child to one child, one smile to one smile.
